 As a woman, Dr. Herte has a special understanding of a woman’s concerns about her breasts. Breast enhancement has been a longstanding area of her practice where she has been in great demand. Minimizing scars wherever possible, placing them in the least noticeable areas, and striving to create the most natural appearing and feeling breasts are her primary goals. Breast augmentation is customized to the patient’s desired style, from petite to proportioned to flashy or even outrageous. We balance the pros and cons of each approach and choose a size and style that gives results that last and meet your goals.
Various implant styles and materials are available. Dr. Herte is a participant in the FDA approved studies of silicone gel implants. Women who qualify for the study are eligible to have silicone gel filled breast implants instead of saline filled.

Where loss of substance of the breast has occurred from weight loss or pregnancy, and an implant alone will not restore the fullness and balance of the breast, a mastopexy or breast lift may be recommended to reduce excess breast skin and improve firmness. This can be accomplished with an implant to increase breast volume or without an implant to simply repackage and firm the breast and remain the same size.
Where needed, a surgical reduction in size of the breast can be done, firming and lifting the breast while reducing the cup size. Surgical approach and incisions are personalized to accomplish the best results with the least scar. Breast reduction on one side may be used when there is a marked difference in the size of the breasts from side to side, at the same time a breast lift is performed.
Breast reconstruction can also be performed following mastectomy and many options for creating a new breast are available. |
