Home/KYBELLA®

Over time, many men and women notice a buildup of fat around their chin and upper neck region, which can result from genetics, weight gain, or the natural aging process. To address this trouble area, KYBELLA® is a non-surgical alternative to procedures like liposuction and is designed to target excess fat. If you suffer from a “double chin,” this minimally invasive treatment can help you achieve a better contour underneath your chin and jawline by breaking down the accumulation of fat.

KYBELLA® treatments have been known to enhance facial angles and create a slimmer facial profile. At the Herte Center for Cosmetic Surgery in Las Vegas, you can address your unwanted chin fat with Hollie Tyler, APRN, and achieve your cosmetic goals.

What is KYBELLA®?

KYBELLA® is an injectable cosmetic treatment that targets excess fat under the chin, also known as submental fullness. It reduces the appearance of a double chin, resulting in a more contoured, youthful look. The FDA-approved treatment features deoxycholic acid, a molecule that is naturally found in our bodies to break down dietary fat, causing it to exit the body through the metabolic process.

Am I a Candidate for KYBELLA®?

KYBELLA® may be right for you if you’re in generally good health and experiencing areas of excess fat under your chin and/or jawline. This isolated fat is often not affected by diet and exercise, making KYBELLA® a beneficial option for sculpting the upper neck area. If your submental fullness is caused by loose skin underneath your chin, however, you may benefit more from a neck lift procedure.

What Does the KYBELLA® Treatment Involve?

The in-office procedurefor KYBELLA® usually takes 30 minutes or less to complete. Once a numbing agent is applied, a series of injections are administered beneath the chin and jawline in the pre-planned areas. KYBELLA® treatments are typically spaced out between two to six sessions, depending on your needs and treatment plan.

How Long Does KYBELLA® Last?

Results from KYBELLA® often become visible over several weeks and sessions, as the deoxycholic acid gradually breaks down the targeted fat. There is typically little to no downtime in the recovery process, and results have been long-lasting for many patients.

With the natural aging process, it is possible for the skin and muscles in your upper neck to gradually loosen, which can compromise the contouring effects of your KYBELLA® treatment. Should that happen, a neck lift may be your next step to restore a youthful, slim neck profile.

How Much Does KYBELLA® Cost?

The cost of KYBELLA® varies depending on several factors, including:

On average, the cost of KYBELLA® may range from $1,200 to $2,000 per session. After your custom treatment plan has been established, we will provide you with a proposal and would be glad to discuss plastic surgery financing options that are available if you are interested.
